John has been a long time Board Member and helped guide the organization during the massive Nashville flood. Without his guidance, CRC would not be where it is today. The Board has nominated John for the running of Oyster King since he has never officially received this royal title. Help him with Oyster King this year!!
Established in 1985, CRC continues to act as the supply line to the front lines of poverty to over 90 nonprofits and charities in the Middle Tennessee community by providing new household goods and basic necessities food stamps can't buy. Through your ticket purchase and additional fundraising, the CRC provides over $2.5M in goods distributed through out Middle Tennesse and allows us to serve over 300,000 of Nashville's fragile neighbors. All fund raised supports CRC and our continued effort to ease the burden our Partner Agencies have to provide Basic Neccessities.
Oyster Easter is our only fundraiser for CRC. OE is in its 57th year and will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 1-5 p.m. at the fabulous Green Door Gourmet. Expect the traditional Oyster Easter flourishes of abundant beer by Blackstone Brewing, wine by Prophecy Wines and spirits from Pickers Vodka, bloody mary bar provided by Walker Feed Co., cigars by Principle Cigars and a Cajun feast by Puckett’s Boat House with Jambalaya, Dirty Rice, Mac and Cheese, Fish Tacos and all the oysters you can eat (raw or fried). Plus get ready for lively contests and special awards including Best Dressed and Hula Hooper of the Year. To purchase your tickets, click here.
